Resound, based at Haddenham in Buckinghamshire is one of the UK's leading radio communications specialists. thecentre:mk is the first shopping centre in the country to benefit from the new digital communication system developed by Resound. The benefits of the new system will now enable many users including security staff, management and cleaners to have simultaneous communication across the centre allowing for a fully integrated communication strategy, enabling much quicker reaction times to theft, security issues and general customer wellbeing.

The existing system installed by Resound in 1998 provided the centre with a reliable service but as thecentre:mk has grown to become one of the largest shopping centres in the country there is now a greater need to equip more staff with a fully integrated and faster communication system. Resound was asked to develop such a system, the first in the country. The digital system Resound developed was subsequently selected as it fulfilled all the requirements, for security and management communication whilst offering staff a lightweight rugged handset that everyone can use.
